e-learning

Under MechMate, a modern and innovative web platform has been created to serve the needs of distant learning for manufacturing SMEs’ managers, people employed in SMEs (technicians, administrative staff) as well as students and trainers/teachers in terms of mechatronics. The e-learning system (Coursevo), developed by the Laboratory of Distributed Multimedia Information Systems and Applications of the Technical University of Crete (TUC/MUSIC), implements modern pedagogical approaches and supports blended learning. Experts on mechatronics from the project consortium will contribute in the development of courses and educational materials.

The platform will operate in English, Polish, Greek, Bulgarian and Estonian (already translated into English, Greek and Bulgarian – translation into Estonian and Polish is in progress) and will offer among others the opportunity to the trainees to self-evaluate gained knowledge and acquire a certification for the training. The courses to be developed will be offered in these languages as well.
